We wanted a nightly, nonstop party house built right on the festival grounds bolstering festive guests. Creating sculpture in the silhouette of a mid-century modern Palm Springs mansion served as a canvas, mapping the revelers, the scenes, even the swimmers in the “pool” with an almost gratuitous amount of projectors. The illusion – dubbed Mirage – was viewable from a full 360 degrees, and provided a low key haven for survivors of the day’s wall-to-wall music.
