Verizon Wireless – Droid Crane

New York: December, 2009– PEARL MEDIA, a leader in non-traditional, Out-of-Home Media focusing on StreetLevel outdoor advertising, has partnered with Verizon Wireless to promote the launch of its highly anticipated new Smartphone the DROID via engaging interactive storefronts.

The campaign was created to increase awareness of Verizon’s new smart phone DROID as well as promote the various applications and effectiveness of the new phone. To bring this to life PEARL Media developed an all encompassing interactive Verizon DROID Game that allowed pedestrians to literally play on the streets and collect Droid Apps. The game was designed to bring a fun and energetic interactive experience that allowed consumers to become familiar with the all that the “DROID DOES”.

Pearl employed an interactive Gesture Based “Droid Game” that allowed pedestrians to come up to the Storefront window and literally move the robotic arms of the Droid with their hands to collect as many falling Apps as they could in a 30 second period. If pedestrians were successful, game play and time were extended. When complete, using the latest in Touch Technology, consumers were able to test their skills against other players by entering their initials to see if they rank in the high scores as well as enter in an email addresses to get the latest information on the new Droid Phone. Audio was also applied to the gaming experience from behind the storefront glass to project game sounds and increase attraction to the interactive display. The campaign has been a major success as over 800 pedestrians are playing the game each day and thousands more are watching them play.

Four (4) Verizon’s Droid displays will be on exhibit through the end of the 2009 in three (3) major cites (Los Angeles, San Francisco and Phoenix) Pearl Media teamed with ZenithOptimedia on the planning and execution while creative elements were designed by McGarry Bowen. Pearl also partnered with EyeClick Ltd for their ground breaking technology solutions.
